B-day dinner with the Fam.

My birthday dinner @ Xic Loc (I think i spelt that wrong!) and then dessert at Max Brenner @ Parramatta. It was a really good night, it's been a long time since we have had a proper dinner with just all four of us. We arrived there at 7;00pm and stayed back till 10:00pm. All we did was have major conversations. So good, I love hearing about my parents childhood etc, I always forget that they had a life before my sister and I came along.
It's funny how you take on similar traits as your parents. My sister looks like my dad but she acts like my mum; social, talk-a-tive, life of the party, arty- farty and noisy. I on the other hand look like my mum but act like my dad; dont give a fuck, anti- social in some situations, the observer, loves to read, loves docos, gets the shits easy (oh wait the latter is all me..lol).

I like Max Brenner!!

happy birthday to me, your one hundred and three

More like 23.... yes you heard correctly.... as my friend said 'that sounds so wrong'... indeed. The day started out with me waking up at 6:22am.... far out sleeping problems!!! I couldn't get back to sleep, I was so annoyed.

At 12:00am my sister came into my room while I was alseep, with a candle lit. She woke me up saying..."Tine wake up...happy birthday" I woke up and she was giggling (the smart arse), I saw this big round head in my face with candle light shinning on it..... I turned around and said "F*UCK OFFFFFF!!!!" I was s0 tired, I just wanted to sleep.

When I got up this morning, there was a plate of seedy food and card on the floor from my sister. She got really old chocolates and biscuits from the kitchen, who knows how long they have been in our cupboards. I just laughed when I saw it, it such a Mara thing to do. I went into her room and apologised for swearing at her and thanked her for the food on the floor....she just cracked up laughing. So right now I am at Uni, I haven't done any of my assignments (because I am a bum). Shit I can't believe that it is my b-day.....

Tim is so cool and thoughful!!!! he made me a card, messages written on stone. He wrapped it up in a glass jar. I had to put the puzzle of stones together to read the message.
"Dear Maria,
I think there are only two things I need to say to you today:
Happy 23rd Birthday and nver ever ever EVER forget that I LOVE YOU with all my heart including my arteries, aorta, left and right ventricles and red and white blood cells
Always, Tim" my sexy bitch!

Tito Ramon's 50th Birthday

I slept over Tim’s house on Friday. I was so buggered because I was only on 4 hours of sleep (damn you 6:00am shifts) so right now my sleeping patterns is totally out of sync! We watched LOST DVDs (totally awesome!) ate, ate, ate and ate.
The next day was even more laid back; I went skateboarding up and down his street, while he was mowing the lawn. It feels good to skateboard again; I felt a bit unco because it has been a LONG TIME SINCE. I was scared I was going to face plant it on the road, luckily I didn’t.

We got ready for my uncles birthday, surprise surprise I even used a blow dryer, man I don’t know how to use them things. I was struggling with the brush and the hot wind blasting on my hair and face.
Tim looked hot in what he was wearing; guys always look good in suits or uniforms, it is very clean cut…. and sexy….

So, Tito Ramon is officially 50. He sure as hell does not look 50; maybe it’s the Asian genes. His birthday party was held at a function hall in Liverpool, Tim and I didn’t even know that it existed. All the uncles and aunties came before hand to set up the hall, as usual the cousins and guests arrived at the party late, good old Filo time works like a charm. Aries and Russelle performed a dance sequence to ‘my humps’, although I wouldn’t call it a dance sequence because they were just dancing along to the song, it was so funny. The DJ played old early 80s & 90s tracks, all the parentals got into it and danced like they have never danced before (and so did my sister and I).

At 10pm they had a ‘special performance’ i.e. a stripper. All the men in the room got all excited they were all frothing at the mouth, it was disgusting. All the kids who came were ushered out of the hall. I knew that a stripper was going to be there and I was intending on watching. But then I walked out of the hall because it really is repulsive. I think I was the only person to walk out who were over 18… All the cousins stayed.
I have been to a strip club and watched what the women do and watched what the audience’s reactions were. I felt so disgusting in there and really perverted. That was my first and last time going to those places. I don’t think that it is a very reputable job. I can understand why some people do it, maybe for the money or it may make them feel sexually empowered. I just think that it is wrong. I don’t like the fact that it objectifies women in such a cheap way, dancing around semi naked or naked for money. There are some feminists out there who are all for sexual expression and sexual empowerment and there are other feminists out there who see that stuff as degrading etc, I guess I am part of the latter.

I was outside looking after all the minors, the funny thing was after a while all my cousins + partners and sister walked out… they were all saying… ‘gross she’s gross…so feral’ Tim said that she sat and rubbed up against him. I thought he was joking but when I saw the photos I just wanted puke and burn his clothes then and there. My cousins was saying to him “wash your clothes dude, you might have crabs on em’ or something”

Apparently the stripper looked strung out (probably on smack) her eyes kept on rolling about and dilated. Man I wouldn’t be surprised if she was on the drugs, she had to do it in front of 150 people. I guess courage drugs were on hand.

Enough about that, Tim had an admirer, Edwin AKA Shyna the gay make-up artist/ hairdresser. I guess Tim’s pretty boy looks were too awe inspiring for Edwin. He always gets a fan club everywhere we go either the females or the males. My cousins being the smartarses that they are started screaming out “photo..photo” so Tim was forced to take pics with him.
Edwin is cool; I met him in the ladies toilets earlier on the night, while he was putting make-up on my aunties and mum. He was a make-up artist in the Philippines on channel 7. So he worked with the celebrities there. He worked at one of the salons, the name I can’t remember. But like I said to Tim he will be seeing more of ‘Shyna’ because he is related to my auntie, plus he will be at future gatherings….. cool he can do my make-up, yay my hairdresser woes are over, I don’t need to cut my own hair anymore!!

Friday Night

I had dinner at Newtown with Tim..... followed by Max Brenner at Parramatta..... It was so windy and cold, Sydney weather is f*cked up at the moment.... one minute it's a nice sunny day, the next minute its raining!!! I hate it!!!!!

Anyhow... dinner was great, I love the food... good old Japanese dinner boxes, I ate two...I know.. I know... Im a pig! Hey it beats starving yourself!!!! Plus I love my food (except CURRY!)
Tim and I were trying to figure out where to have dessert, there are a few gelato bars in Newtown, but it was too cold to eat that stuff.....save it for a nice summer evening!!! So we opted for Max Brenner.... that place rocks!!! I remember they have one in the Philippines at Greenbelt.. I think...
It was 10:30 at night and Max B. was packed with people.... more so the females.... I think a lot of the girls may have been PMS'in or broke up with their boyfriends.... I bet Max B. make most of their income off women.... chocolate and women go hand in hand, just like women and shoes.... I am definately going back there!!!! mmmmm chocccollattee!!!

nudie, nudie, nudie, nudie rockin everywhere

Yesterday was yet another boring day at uni...boo.. I seriously don't know why Merc, Tim and I go to the Advertising Campaign lecture.. I hope that I am subconsciously taking the information in...
Anyhow the highlight of the day was probably treking it to the city. The reason for yesterday's field trip was to go to Incu and the Nudie store to try on a pair of size 25 'Tight Katies'.... Tim was going to buy them for me *sugar daddy* for my birthday.... yes I am turning old! I may look like a 18 or 19 year old... but let me tell you I am an old fart!
So why Nudie???? They are a cult jeans brand from Swedan home of Ikea... The low down is you dont wash them for a year or 6 months if you cant handle it... All the creases from you wearing it 24/7 will show up after you wash it.... you can put random stuff in your pockets if you want and it will show up after washing.... for an example look at the pic below of Tim's Nudies (the bastard has 2 pairs).... his mum accidently washed them too early... (he cried himself to sleeep) you can vaguely see the Smint mints packet (it looks like the filo flag).... General Pants have stockd them recently so you can buy it there.... but I have heard from the Nudie forum website (die hard Nudie consumers) that the 'cool' kids from GP dont know their shit when it comes to the jeans... and apparently Nudie is planning to take em off the GP shelves.... Tim went into GP one day to test the theory on whether or not they knew the 411 on Nudies.... and they or 1 kid didn't... the bloke didnt even know you were not suppose to wash em for a long time... he tried to make it out he did...
Tim: so... what makes these jeans so good??
G.P boy: aahhh you know... they're like dry denim... they're like any other jeans
Tim: i heard your not suppose to wash em for about a year
G.P boy: really? ooh yeah ..that too...
naughty naughty i think someone needs to get product trained!!!
Anyhow......Unfortunately Incu did not have the 'Tight Katies' but they did have the 'Long Johns".... ah dont you just love the names of their jeans! So I tried those buggers on..... and to my enevitable demise... they did not fit me..... I needed a size 24... the nice sales bloke did try to help... but I just wanted to roll up in a ball and cry... but I did have hope the 'Tight Katies' were probably the slimmest fit so maybe the 25 would fit....
Tim and I treked it to the Nudie store in Paddington.... alas they did have my beloved 'T.Ks' so I eagerly went to the change room and whacked them on.... yet again like the 'Long Johns', the 'T.Ks' did not fit...... DAMN YOU SIZE 25.... DAMN YOU MY ANOREXIC LEGS!!!! Alas, alas...... the girl working there informed us that Nudie will be making size 24's next year...... so hopefully when the sizes come out it will fit me....
Far out I hate shopping for jeans!!! I always have issues because I am so skinny... yes I eat and yes I have a hard time putting on weight.... The only jeans that ever fit me are Lee jeans in size 6 (bless) and some of the jeans at Supre because their sizes are Small, Extra Small, Extra Extra Small and (drum roll) 3XS..... yes I fit into 3XS.... 3 freakin extra small.... who would of thought someone made those sorts of sizes....
But in replacement for those jeans... Tim bought me a pair of new nice round toe high heel shoes from Mollini.... I really love them.... I will be wearing them to our date this Friday night.....

So.... you want to be a model aye.....

Last night I attended Model Quest 2006 (Mosaik Productions) at The Roxy in Parramatta with Tim, Mara and JR...
I realised that each time I go to a Filipino event it is always with Tim, Mara and JR...

Anyhow... some bloke Lee and some sheila Angela won.... I didnt mind that Lee won, actually I wanted him to win the male division, I dont know him personally or in general, but I thought he had the model 'look' down pat.... *blue steel baby*
On the other hand, Angela, I was surprised that she won. Along with a lot of people in the crowd. I wanted female contestants 1 or 3 to win... but oh well, it's all good. All I can say is good luck to them both with their future modelling careers.

I really liked the introduction and production of the event. It was a carnival theme... very BRASIL! I loved the costumes that they wore.. awesome... feathered head dresses, skimpy bikinis, fisherman pants etc etc... it may sound slutty, but it wasnt... think Rio Carnival.... thats what it was like...

I applaud all 16 contestants for entering, they really have balls. They all get put under the microscope when they are on stage/ catwalk, getting scrutinized can kill your ego, so I guess you really need to be thick skinned to enter such competitions.
I really want Tim to enter next year...ehehe... I think he has a chance of winning....

friendship ..friendship

I have been thinking about this lately:
(from www.dailyom.com)

Moving Into A New Phase: Outgrowing Friends

Every one of us lives a life colored by individual and changing experiences, perceptions, needs, and desires. We connect with others, becoming friends and confidants, most often because they share something with us, such as an interest or need. But as time goes on there is change, and the bonds that brought you close to a treasured friend may not be enough to sustain the relationship. You may find your lives have gone in wildly different directions and you no longer share the same aspirations, or you may have changed on an energetic level. It is not unusual in such a situation to find that the comfort you found in the other person has vanished and that you have trouble relating as you once did. Outgrowing a friend can be confusing or painful, but it is a natural part of one's personal growth.

You have a right to choose to surround yourself with those people who understand you, are helpful and compassionate, and put you at ease. Months or years into a friendship, you may find your friend no longer seems like the same person he or she once was. The change may have been within them, but may also have come from within you. Moving on does not mean that your past shared experiences were not meaningful or important to you both, but rather it acknowledges your needs in the present. Ending a friendship can be difficult. You may not feel comfortable explaining your reasons for doing so. Even so, you can still be kind, respectful, and considerate, and simply state that you can no longer devote time to the friendship. When you have made the conscious decision to let go of the relationship, it will most likely happen naturally.

The people who are or have been a part of your life each taught you something. Some friendships are long-term while others are brief. In all relationships, however, it is important to embrace changes and to let go of regrets. While you may outgrow the need to maintain a friendship with someone who was once very special to you, that person will nonetheless always occupy a place in your heart.

Wolfmother Concert

The Wolfmother concert kicked some serious arse! It is one of the best concerts I have been to. It wasn’t the best day/ night because it was raining, but luckily for Tim and I... we had ponchos...hahah… I felt like doing a singing in the rain rendition. So while we were waiting in the never ending line, the gods of rain decided to work their magic... it poured down on us... I felt sorry for the people who did not have umbrellas or even ponchos...

Alas, the concert made up for the shitty weather... I royally got smashed in the moshpit, but it was great! People were sweating profusely, sweaty bodies were colliding, hundreds of people screaming and singing along with Andrew. I jumping up and down like a maniac, screaming/ singing...it was killer fun.

Also the boys from Jackass/ Wild Boys were there to introduce Wolfmother. Stevo, Bam and Wee Man came up on stage...Tim and I was like "what the f*ck" ...how killer.... it was so random but mad.... Wee Man kicked himself in the head, but i missed that because I couldn’t see ...boo...

Dungen, the Swedish supporting band was great too, even though I didn’t know what they were singing because it wasn’t in English, nonetheless, their beats, guitar riffs etc was top notch...

It was Andrew's birthday and Stevo came out with chocolate cake, so the crowd sang happy birthday and he asked if we wanted some cake ... and he threw it in the crowd...

Listening to them live is just like listening to them on your radio or ipod. They played immaculately. If you ever get a chance to watch their concert, go for it.... It is money worth spending!!

She is going to meet up with Ate Mayette too....man it was only a month ago she was in Melbourne for a holiday!!! booo! no love!

So the house is totally silent... normally it's crazy with my sister's loudness.... I still don’t understand how a tiny girl like her can project so much energy.....

Rhodora's Kitchen Tea & Russelle's 9th Birthday

She is finally getting married yay!!! After a very very long relationship Hieu and Rhodora are getting married in September!!!! wooo!!! He proposed to her in Paris...how romantic!!! When everyone found out they were saying "bloody oath about time!!!" mwuhahaha! I am extremely happy for her and Hieu!!! It's going to be a kick arse Vietnamese and Filipino wedding!!! I can't wait!

Russelle is now 9 years old!!! Damn he is growing up s0 fast!!! I wish my cousin was there to see it, but I guess she was there in spirit.
Aries is so cute; she started to dance to 'my humps' by BEP. It's not an appropriate song for her to be dancing too, but she was shaking her thang, the girl has rhythm! It was cute, she then proceeded to do the robot, and then the strobe light effect robot...it was so funny. My sister threw a $1 dollar coin at her feet, and then my mum threw a $5 note... then my uncle's put cake, their shoes, RSL club cards, an AMEX card, a VISA Card and fruit. She was quite the little busker..haha.
But I think the funniest thing that my uncles did was, they realised Aries' 6th birthday was coming up...so they took the 9 nine candle and reversed it to 6, then started to sing happy birthday..Damn it was funny...but slack to Russelle because he got cut up, poor bugger he had tears in his eyes.... That's my family for you, more so the Cruz uncles... a bunch of jokers who like to pay people out...

time waits for no one

I seriously cannot believe that it is Thursday already!!! The days are getting faster..or as Tim would say "your just getting busier"
Last Saturday I went to Rendezvous @ The Wesley Theatre in Pitt St with Jr, Tim and Mara... Sunday I crashed at Tim's house... then before I knew it, it is now Thursday! Far out.

I remember reading this quote somewhere... "We have too much time, but no time to waste"

There are moments where I feel like I'm wasting my time, I could be doing more productive and inspiring things. I feel like a total bum....! ...Well I am actually... but I am proud to say that I did accomplish my mini goals that I set for this uni winter holidays..(Anna you would be so proud)... horay! So I guess these holidays were not in vain.

Time really is precious; we should enjoy and seize everyday, every opportunity, every moment spent with a friend/ family member/ boyfriend....

I can honestly say, I really do take things for granted. But I should not be naive, because all these things can vanish in an instant. And as the saying goes "you don't know what you have got till it's gone".....

So right now I am trying to be as proactive as possible..... Let’s just hope I persevere.

Why are pirates, pirates? because they arGGHH!! ... meanwhile...She's got a ticket to ride

I watched Pirates of the Caribbean yesterday with Tim. Man I swear it's movie week for me... all my special needed funds have been put into Hoyts!

But anyhow, It was a kick arse film. I seriously want to be a pirate. Maybe I should join those Filo pirates that scavage around in unguarded waters.. a la The Life Aquatic of Steve Zissou.... I remember I watched a documentary on Filipino pirates on SBS... very interesting stuff... seedy but interesting.

Man Orlando Bloom is getting hotter, Kiera Knightly's lips are getting pouty-er, and Johnny Depp is getting even more sexier with age! I love Mr Depp, my love affair with him started when I was a youngin and saw him on 21 Jump Street and 7 or 8 years old and when I watched Edward Scissor Hands, its such a classic film... I love it!

Johnny plays such a great pirate... reminds me of Keith Richards from the Rollling Stones.... Tim was telling me that Keith will be in the 3rd film..only a cameo as Jack's father....how fitting!
I love his erratic character, his mannerisms... it makes me laugh...

I seriously cannot wait for the 3rd installment; I hope it is just as good as the 1st and 2nd Pirates of the Caribbean!

Meanwhile....

I bought my tickets for the Philippines!!! YAY!!! I can't wait to got back!!! I can't wait to breath in the polluted air, eat Chow King's Halo-Halo, going to Glorietta and the various SM's and of course to see my familia!

Cut and Click

I cut my own hair!!!! How daring…no not really. I wanted my sister to cut it, she was taking her sweet arse time, and me being impatient decided to do it myself…. So there you go… I don’t need to find a hairdresser anymore….

Anyhow….

So I watched Click last night at B-town with my sister Mara and cousins Rey, Rachelle, Ken_doll and Vianca. Good old tight arse Tuesday, when all movie tickets are cheap, bless!

I did not expect that movie to be pretty deep. No offence to Adam Sandler, I love that bloke he cracks me up and so does his films. Click was a little different to all his other films, it still had the Sandler trademark humor, just add a tad more drama and a deeper story line.

It just basically made me assess what is important in my life, what truly makes me happy, what I want to achieve and basically the importance of balancing career, family/ friends and goals. All these elements will inevitably conflict with each other, that’s life and I guess that’s the challenge of keeping everything equal and stable.

So I pose this question to you all, if you died tomorrow how would you want to be remembered by the people that you love? (I know it sounds a bit drastic!!! But I’ll answer them too!)

I want to be remembered as m a R i a who:

* always achieved her goals
* traveled the world
* reached her dream career
* was a loving sister and daughter
* was a loving mother and wife (if I get married and have kids)
* was a loving friend

(There is heaps more but I just cant think right now!!!)

Great hairdressers are hard to find *EDIT: Superman Returns

The hairdresser that I go to has shut up shop. I am quite distraught too, because really good hairdressers are very hard to find.

I’m not too fussy with my hair, heck, I rarely run a comb through it or wash it…eeeewwww! But I think having a great hairdresser is a must. They help you through your hair woes, they give you advice on the best way to style your hair, they CUT YOUR HAIR JUST THE WAY YOU WANT IT! Smartlook Hair Studio in Parramatta did all these things for me, especially cutting my hair how I wanted it!

Did you ever get those situations where you sit in the chair and the stylist is at their final cutting stages… and you think to yourself “what the heck is she/he doing???? This isn’t the cut I wanted!!!” You smile politely and say apprehensively “yeah…it’s cool” when really you hate it… and you walk out of the salon thinking to yourself “damn I should have had a fit at him/ her”. Well this has happened to me a few times.

In the past I have always settled for second best, and I would just go to random hairdressers to cut my locks. But when I stumbled across Smartlook, I was born again in terms of believing there was a salon that accommodated my every need.

And now this belief is shattered to a million pieces. I am now on the hunt for the holy grail of hairdressers. Wish me luck, because I definitely need it.

*Superman*

I watched Superman Returns with Tim last week. I was very very hesitant in watching the film. Tim can attest to that comment. I thought it was going to be crap, every time I saw the previews on TV I would just tune out and say “yeah….whatever”.

But I was proven wrong for my hate, ok not hate that’s too strong of a word…dislike.
I liked the film, pretty action packed and so many scenes. I was wondering when the film would end it just kept on trucking along.

Brandon Routh AKA Superman/ Clark Kent is one fly fella! (no pun intended) he sounds like Wentworth Miller… the smooth silky voice…..so hot!
But yes there was some major eye candy whilst watching the movie….ah bless!

It was funny seeing Ian Roberts on screen so weird, ex-footballer/ ex- Dancing with the Stars. And I totally forgot that they filmed it here in Sydney… Tim and I were sitting there saying… “oh mad…. Martin Place….oh mad… Wynyard bus depo”.

i like a guy in a suit

On Fire

I love this song, it's by Switchfoot.

Tell you where you need to go
Tell you when you need to leave
Tell you what you need to know
Tell you who you need to be
Everything inside you knows there's more than what you've heard
So much more than empty conversation filled with empty words
And you're on fire when He's near you
You're on fire when He speaks
You're on fire, burning at these mysteries
Give me one more time around
Give me one more chance to see
Give me everything You are
Give me one more chance to be
Everything inside me looks like everything I hate
You are the hope I have for change, You are the only chance I'll take
When I'm on fire when You're near me
I'm on fire when You speak
I'm on fire burning at these mysteries
These mysteries
I've been standing on the edge of me
standing on the edge of me
standing on the edge of me
standing on the edge of me
standing on the edge of everything I've never been before
And I've been standing on the edge of me
standing on the edge
And I'm on fire when You're near me
I'm on fire when You speak
I'm on fire burning at these mysteries

Italy vs Australia FIFA World Cup

Yet another sleepless night watching the world cup! but it was all worth it even though Australia lost..... Yes I am very very sad that they lost, and I am sure a lot of Australians feel the same way.... I wanted to scream like a maniac because of the stupid ref!!!! bloody oath!!! Italy should not of got the penalty shot!!!! I prayed that Mark Schwarzer would catch the ball... but he didn't... and I guess the rest is history.... I felt so bad for Lucas Neill, he had water in his eyes when the game ended...poor bugger... I feel your pain mate!!!

I turned on the TV and they had highlights about last nights game.... some random guy who watched the soccer at the live big TV venues said "we were robbed, I know that, you know that and Australia knows that".
Whats done is done... But I know I wanted, as with many people, for the Socceroos to go further.
But I am equally as proud and happy that they were able to play at the World Cup. The boys should be proud of themselves for making it!!!

Go the Socceroos!!!!! one love!!!!!!!

Anna's...Hugo's... Luke's...

Last Saturday night I went out with my sister, Simone and Anna.... I hauled arse after work, I was rushing in the toilet to get changed... for some reason I couldnt do my shoe laces I was pretty unco!

IT WAS SO COLD!!!! I was waiting for my train at B-town, and I was freezing.... at least I didnt get the ghetto train... good old Tangara's it has air-cons..hahahah..

But the city was even worse, I waited about half an hour for my sister at Townhall steps... and it was so cold, unbearably cold!!! I saw girls in little dresses and skirts with no jackets.... I was thinking to myself.... "damn they have balls".... man I was wearing 4 layers of clothes and I was still freezing!
For some reason there were heaps of "i hate my dad man" emo kids out too... there was probably a concert or shindig.... but I have to say I like their style, more so the guys, but then again the look becomes a bit androgenous at times.

Mara finally came, we went across the road to woolies to get warm and buy chocolate... Sim was taking her car so we met her at KFC.... so we drove to Anna's apartment, I absolutley love her place, it's the best!!! Anna the crazy shopper that she is, bought a pair of Marc Jacobs shoes!! I must admit they are extremely beautiful!!! But very expensive!!!! It would probably take me a year to save up to buy a pair of Marc Jacobs shoes!!!!

We just lounged around, ate chocolate, drank red wine, caught up with each other... Sim is leaving for Asia this week and Anna will be graduating soon...
Sim made reservations at Hugos Lounge at Kings Cross, they had $5 dollar pizzas the offer ends this June, so if anyone is from Sydney, check it out...they have excellent pizzas!
Sh*t we ordered four pizzas!!! it was great! Pork belly pizza is the best!!!! so order it if you decide to go!
Omigosh.... "you make me feel like dancing" Leo Sayer was there....hahaha... Us girls were chatting away, then out of the blue Anna says.." Is the Leo Sayer??""" I started laughing coz it was.... I remembered that he had a concert at Rooty Hill.... Anna said that he moved to Sydney.... he had an entourage of girls dancing with him, mind you they were all old enough to be his daughters...gross!!!! 'who's your daddy'... hahahaha!

After Hugo's we went back to Anna's place bought desert and lounged some more, I just realised how close she lives to Kings Cross. I guess thats the advantages of living in the city, all the best places are just a fart away! Man I miss living in Paddington!

****

It was Luke's birthday on Sunday, Mara and I went over there to celebrate/ catch up with old Antiochers... eat cake.. etc etc...good old Dexter orgainised it..... Julie got out of the hospital so it was great seeing her. Baby Lily is beauiful! man she does not look real, she looks like a doll!!! I can't believe that Luke has a new sister!!!! She opened her eyes and she has killer blue eyes! it is awesome!!! The deepest blue I have ever seen in my life!
Meanwhile I can't believe Luke is 20 years old now.... about time!!! You are no longer a teenager!!! But he is the maturest person I know!!! Such a wise man!!!! love ya buddy!!!!

Nova 96.9FM and Desperate Housewives...or boyfriend

Nova 96.9FM is a Sydney based radio station, one that I love mainly becuase of the breakfast show with Merrick and Rosso (who I find totally hilarious) .

They currently have this 'competition' running called 'Desperate housewives'; where random women call their husbands at work and entice them to home home for some lovin', and they end up winnng a prize like an MP3 player..

Well I received a call this morning from Tim at 8:30am, mind you I was still sleeping. It went along the lines of this...(im para-phrasing).

*mobile phone rings*

Maria: He-ll-o (sleepy voice)

Tim: hey babe, are you sleeping....what are you doing??

Maria: I- Im sleeping...why whats wrong??

Tim: Work got cancelled today

Maria: serious?? why.....

Tim: oh it just got cancelled... what are you doing today..???? can I come over...you know for some fun and stuff???

Maria: ....yeah um ok..

Tim: are you sure???

Maria: yeah....

Tim: So is that a yes

Maria: ...yeah....

*hang up phone*

Well 5 minutes later Tim called me back and informed me that we won 2 nights accomodation at the Vibe Hotel.....I said how and why did he win......... He stated that I was on air for the Merrick and Rosso breakfast show and 'Desperate Housewives' competition.....in this case husband or boyfriend.... My reaction was are you serious!!!!

So now I laugh at the fact that I was on air for this competition and that the whole of Sydney may of been listening.... It didnt even occur to me that Tim had sexual connotations in the conversation due to the fact that I was half asleep.
