GK Village Grafitti Throw Up

Photobucket

Photobucket

I died when I saw this... It is rare to see awesome graff throw up in the Philippines.
So when I saw this in the Bago Silang Gk Village I almost had a heart attack.
Bago Silang is ghetto town slum village, outsiders would get shot, stabbed killed, raped,
getting your Nokia 3310 stolen from you type of place... It was awesome to see that no one tagged over it... respect!
They commissioned this house to be painted by a Filipino artist, whose name escapes me.

What do you guys think? Ach-ya (yes) or nish nish (no) [I had to qute Bruno]

I'm off too see the big bad world ;)

Photobucket

I am flying in 10 hours.
It's 2:30am and haven't slept and I still need to pack a few things. eeek!
I am the worst packer! How about you guys? Do you have the same problems as I?
I always seem to forget to take certain items. Don't you hate that?

I hope you enjoy reading this blog.
I'll try my best to update as much as I can.
Also, let me know if you want more photography post (lomography, Holga shots, fashion eds?)
or art/ illustration posts... or the random fashion collages I seem to be making of late.

I will be in YOUR country... PI, but UK majority of the time, Europe and the last leg... the Americas...
So tell me ... What is the best places to see and the best things to do in your neck of the woods.
I reckon locals always have the best tips and advice.... better than any Lonely Plant guide ;)

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND GUYS!!!

Hopefully i'll post ASAP :)

xoxo

"Alice, Alice.... who the ******* is Alice?"

Photobucket

She is a Australian designer, who is devastatingly talented. I really adore her collections
past and present. I find her work edgy yet feminine.

What do you guys reckon? Am I on the money or off the rails?

Do you remember that tv show.....

Photobucket

Yesterday I started to watch the first season of Felicity again. My sister and I would watch it religiously when it was on TV. Come on, I bet you too were hooked… remember the Noel and Ben saga? I was 15 when that show started and boy was I addicted. I would fantasise about what university life would be like, dorms, dorm parties, hard core assignments, meeting ‘Ben’. When Uni actually arrived, the only thing I got right was the hard core assignments. But being the geek that I am, I actually enjoyed doing the assignments; even though it was a love hate relationship. And being an even major geek, I actually miss uni.

So the first (official) post of the year is inspired by the show Felicity. At the moment I relate to the concept of self discovery, and going to a place that will be absolutely foreign. Next week I will embark on a journey that I have been dreaming about for a long time. I am excited, nervous, and anxious. I can pull out a whole lot of other adjectives; however those three is what I am feeling most.I have my backpack ready, I am pulling up my socks, I have my eye on the time and places, I have my sneakers on…. I am ready to run, jump, skip, hop and fly out of this sunburnt land. I will miss it dearly. I will miss Sydney. I will miss my friends. I will miss my family.
I am stepping out of my comfort zone
